Recommendations on the furniture use cupboards/wardrobes/bookcases/three-piece sets of upholstered furniture)

 

If you are careful with your new furniture and follow the instructions on its use, its damage is highly unlikely. I am sure you will agree that proper handling of the furniture surface eliminates the risk of soiling or staining it with dirt, oil or other materials and no cleaning or stain removal are required.

 

  • Do not jump on your furniture and do not slump into it. Do not seat on the arms or back of a sofa/couch. They are not designed for such weight and you can only rest your arms and hands on them. Do not stand on the upholstered furniture or its back. Remember that it is not a ladder and standing on it may cause damage.
  • Do not pull or push a sofa or a bed even if their surface is smooth. Such movements may cause damage/deformation of the back, sides and legs of the structure (in case of a bed frame and legs). If you need to move your furniture, lift it from the bottom (legs) and then move. Take apart a bed, move it and then reassemble it. It is recommended to place a bed with its back against the wall. Otherwise, the long use will inevitably shake a bed loose. Standing on a bed frame is also forbidden as it may damage the bed.  To move a sofa/couch lift it first and keep in a vertical position. Do not use a sofa leg as a lever to avoid breaking it.  If you break the aforementioned rules moving the furniture, the manufacturer   bears no responsibility for the damages which may occur.
  • Place leather furniture at least 50cm away from a heater/radiator. It is not recommended to place the furniture near the wall corners or doors as they may damage it.  Avoid impact of sharp and rough objects (e.g., metal buttons may damage the furniture surface) on the furniture. Leather furniture should be protected from direct sunlight and strong illumination and strong artificial lighting as they may cause discoloration of/damage to the leather surface. In order to protect your sofa from the intensive sunlight use the blinds. The discoloration/wear of the surface is natural in case of a long use. The surface discoloration and wear due to sunlight and temperature changes is a natural process and not a manufacturing defect.
  • Avoid placing the leather furniture in damp places. Do not clean the leather surfaces with wet, damp or squeezed cloth as it may cause the surface damage, cracking or discoloration. Clean leather surfaces with dry soft cloth, special leather cleaning products. The humidity and temperatures control is crucial to the long-term preservation of the furniture quality.
  • Nail polish remover, hair spray and perfume can easily damage the leather surface. Do not put them on the furniture and avoid using them near the furniture.
  • Keep your pets away from the furniture as they may scratch it with their claws.


Leather Furniture Care Tips and Recommendations (three-piece sets, beds)

  • Remove each stain delicately and immediately after it appears. If you need to use a cleaning product, do not put it directly on a stain. Place a small amount of the   cleaning product on a clean cloth and test it on the part of the furniture which is not visible. Use the cloth carefully, clean in one direction. Avoid circular or crosswise motions to prevent damaging.
  • Use only leather cleaning products. Do not use detergents containing chemicals. Consult the drycleaner’s on leather care.
  • It is recommended to use medium suction capacity vacuum cleaner for furniture cleaning at least once a week. This way you will avoid the accumulation of dust and dirt causing allergies and leather damage. Change the positions of the back and seat cushions weekly.
  • Ignoring these recommendations will cause the leather surface damage, cracking and change of its structure. 


Recommendations on the Fabric (cloth) upholstered furniture

 

If you take proper care of your furniture and follow the instructions, its damage is highly unlikely. Leather furniture should be protected from direct sunlight and strong illumination and strong artificial lighting as they may cause discoloration of/damage to the leather surface in order to protect your sofa from the intensive sunlight use the blinds.   • Remove each stain delicately and immediately after it appears. If you need to use a cleaning product, do not put it directly on a stain. Place a small amount of the   cleaning product on a clean cloth and test it on the part of the furniture which is not visible. Use the cloth carefully, clean in one direction. Avoid circular or crosswise motions to prevent damaging.
  • Use only special fabric cleaning products. Do not use detergents containing chemicals. Consult the drycleaner’s on fabric care. If the upholstery is removable, it is recommended to take to the drycleaner’s in case of staining or soiling.  
  • It is recommended to use medium suction capacity vacuum cleaner for furniture cleaning at least once a week. This way you will avoid the accumulation of dust and dirt causing allergies and fabric damage. Change the positions of the back and seat cushions weekly. If the cushions are filled with goose feather, it is recommended to fluff feather cushions and lay them in the sun (with the lining removed).
  •  Ignoring these recommendations will cause the fabric damage, cracking and change of its structure.

Mattress Care Tips and Recommendations

  • Change the mattress position every three months.
  • Avoid placing the mattress in damp places. Do not clean the surfaces with wet, damp or squeezed cloth as it may cause the surface damage.
  • It is recommended to use medium suction capacity vacuum cleaner for a mattress cleaning at least once a week. This way you will avoid the accumulation of dust and dirt causing allergies and fabric damage.
  • Ignoring these recommendations will cause the mattress and its surface   damage, cracking and change of its structure

Chair Care Tips and Recommendations

If you take proper care of your furniture and follow the instructions, its damage is highly unlikely.

  • Use a chair only for its intended purpose (sitting). Do not rock the chair putting your weight only on the front or back legs. This may upset the balance, damage or break the chair legs. D not stand on a chair or its back. Remember that a chair is not a ladder.
  • Do not keep a chair in the excessively damp or dry places (e.g. attic, basement).
  • Due to seasonal temperature changes, all wooden products contract and expand to a certain degree. Do not clean them with wet or damp cloth.
  • Do not pull a chair while sitting on it, as it will damage the chair structure. Remember that a chair should be lifted and then moved to a different place. 


Office chairs

  • Do not crash a chair into hard items as this may damage chair rollers, legs, etc. even if they are made of metal.
  • Do not bend the chair adjustment levers. Use them only for the intended purpose.
  •  Roll a rolling chair only towards a desk. Rolling around in a chair is prohibited.
  • An office chair with the adjustable back should be used for the intended purpose. It is not a rocking chair. 


Table Care and Use Tips and Recommendations

  • Use special trivets/hot pads/pot holders to protect a table from heat (high temperature). Do not place hot items (kettle, saucer, etc.) on a table to avoid surface damage. Remember that some items and devices (e.g. computers) emit heat and may raise the temperature up to 200C. Without special protection, such devices may damage the table surface.
  • Do not hold a table by the surface when moving. A table should be taken apart when moved and then reassembled. In extreme cases, a table should be held by the base (all four legs), lifted and moved.
  • Table extensions (Leaves) should be kept in a horizontal position, face up and in a safe place to avoid scratches and damage. Do not keep them in damp places (e.g. attic, basement). It is recommended to wrap them in soft fabric.
  • Do not use the table surface, including glass surface for cutting. Keep sharp and heavy objects away from the table surface.
  • Do not move a desk without disassembling it first. A desk should be disassemble, then moved and reassembled in a new place. If these instructions are not followed when a desk is moved, the manufacturer bears no responsibility for the damages which may occur


Cupboard/wardrobe/bookcase/ Care and Use Tips and Recommendations 


Do not pull small wooden nightstands when moving as its panels may get loose and damaged. Tilt the nightstand back or to the side, hold by the base (all four legs), lift and then move. Move the furniture with adequate force, slowly and carefully. Large cupboards/wardrobes/bookcases should be disassembled, moved and then reassembled in a new place. Any other method will damage the structure. Do not pull/push cupboards/wardrobes/bookcases, as such handling will damage their structure and legs.  These instructions are not followed when a cupboard/wardrobe/bookcase is moved, the manufacturer bears no responsibility for the damages which may occur.
